Louvre To Reopen On July 6th 2020

The Louvre in France will reopen its doors to the public on July 6th 2020, after almost 4 months closed.

How Can I Visit The Louvre?

You will need to book a time slot in order to visit, this includes those who enter free.  You can book a time slot online at although you can also book through selected ticket and tourist offices.

Everyone visiting the museum will be required to wear a face mask and you will also be required to use the hand santizer provided upon entering through one of two entrances open.  The pyramid entrance will be for those with booked time slots, the Richelieu entrance for those with members cards and groups.

What will the experience inside the Louvre museum be like?

A one way system has been put in place to help the visitor flow through the museum and the gallery where the Mona Lisa hangs will be entered and exited through separate doors.  There will be no cloak room facilities so if you are planning to travel with large bags, cases or require storage for motorcycle helmets you will not be able to bring them into the museum.

The gift shop and restaurants will be open and push chairs and wheel chairs will be available, which will be cleaned after each use.

From July to September opening times will be 9am until 6pm every day except Tuesdays.
